At MyGenius Primary, we understand the importance of providing a safe, clean and nurturing learning environment for our primary school going children.

The children typically spends close to 12 hours away from their home daily, whereby half of the time is spent at their primary school and the other half is spent at our centre. Hence, we aim to create a centre environment that is a home away from home for them.

Whether the children are with us in the morning for before school care or in the afternoon for after school care, we aim to give parents a peace of mind, especially for working parents.

Our programme is built around MyGenius education philosophy of providing a well balanced learning and development to our children in a manner that unleash their potential.

This means, we place equal emphasis on academic; moral upbringing and character building; social and living skills.

These are key differentiation that set us apart from ordinary daycare or tuition centres.

1) KNOWLEDGE ACQUISITION (Homework Guidance, Tuition and Exam Preparation)

Our team of caring and dedicated teachers bring with them teaching experience in the SJKC KSSR syllabus. They understand the syllabus and the overall learning needs of our children well. We regularly incorporate creative and fun activities to make the learning process interesting. This helps to improve our children's academic performance.

Additionally, we create a conducive Mandarin learning environment at our centre. In this nurturing environment, children learn Mandarin through workbook exercises, interactions and games. This enhances the children's Mandarin listening, speaking, reading and writing skill which in turn help them to do well in their Mandarin, mathematics and science subjects.

During the daily homework coaching and tuition sessions, we encourage our children to think critically and take an active role in the learning process. They learn how to acquire knowledge instead of just passing exam. This eventually leads to improving their interest in their study.

All Standard 1 to Standard 6 children will also undergo half-yearly assessment at our centre to gauge their learning progress. An overall performance report will be prepared for parents. Every child’s performance will be discussed with parents during our parent-teacher meetings.

2) MORAL AND CHARACTER BUILDING

High standard of ethics forms an important aspect of our value-based education. This culture starts from our team of carefully selected teachers. MyGenius aims to instill good moral upbringing and character building in our children from a young age. This is done through our children’s daily life practices and experience at our centre; inspirational learning through stories and sharing; Di Zi Gui and guidance from our teachers. 

3) SOCIAL & LIFE SKILLS

Our children learn to live and function as a community through effective interactions with the teachers and their peers in all aspect of their daily life at the centre. This helps our children to be sociable as they learn to respect and care for each other, preparing them well to enter into the society.

4) JOYFUL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES

It is never too old for children of primary school going age to still play. Our programme incorporates an element of play and experiential learning as part of their overall development. This includes board games, chess, team games, role play, talent time, culinary activities, outings and recycling just to name a few. The various Malaysian festivities celebration is also a key highlight at our centre.

Through meaningful play and activities, our children develop their critical thinking, problem solving skills and social skills. At the same time, it helps to build their self-confidence, self-control and good character. They also develop an appreciation for the society and the environment.


OTHER VALUE-ADDED SERVICES

1) BEFORE AND/OR AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Our centres are equipped with proper showering facilities and dining areas. Depending on their schooling hours, our children get to take their shower and warm healthy meals at the centre before going to school or upon returning from school.

2) TRANSPORTATION SERVICE

For selected school locations, transportation service can be arranged. When this is arranged, our teacher typically goes along with the transporter to pick up our children from the school. This is to ensure the safety of our children.
